The concluding day of the three-day Ambubachi period. Normal worship, agricultural work, and auspicious ceremonies resume from this day. At the Kamakhya Temple the doors reopen to devotees on this day.
On Nibritti everything is thoroughly cleaned, the deities are bathed, and regular worship resumes. The red cloth covering household deities is removed and the home is purified with Ganga water.
Those who observed the three-day restriction resume normal meals after the purification and worship are completed.
